anypost

Formerly known as PingBox, AnyPost is an application for both the Danger and Android OS that allows you to keep the growing number of social networks up to date from one location. It uses the Ping.fm service to interface with your favorite social networking sites. You can send micro-blog, blog, and status updates through the application and it also allows you to view your latest 25 messages posted.  The Sidekick™ layout is based on and uses elements from the original Ping.fm site layout created by jyoseph while the Android™  version uses standard widgets and styles.

The Sidekick™ version is free but unfortunately because it remains on a closed platform you must have a developer key installed on your device in order to use this application. Please don’t ask me for one, if you are a legit developer and own a device head over to the Danger® Developer Zone for more info. The latest bundles for the Sidekick™ can be found below.

The Android version has been finished for about a year but its release was delayed because it is a submission in the second Android Developer Challenge. AnyPost is now available in the Android Market as a free download and in addition select users will be able to download and judge the application through the special judging application that is supposed to be made available sometime in September for ADC2. This version supports uploading photos directly from your device as well as allowing you to grab your current location to share that in your posts. You will be able to ping all services tied to a specific post method, individual services, or one of your posting groups.

If you’re viewing  this page on an Android phone you can click on the button below to display the application in the Market.
